STAGE DE RECHERCHE - MASTER Année universitaire 2016-2017 PROPOSITION DE STAGE Titre Computerized model for risk visualization within a construction site Usually Construction site layout is not an easy job. Construction managers and planners encounter many challenges and complexities during site layout planning due to leaving this task to the last minute before construction commence. Therefore, this research aims to enhance site layout planning through considering the hazards and risk analysis. Thus the layout optimization aims minimizing the global potential risk within a construction site. The model will be computerized and created in a way that the users do not have to remember steps or formulas. Furthermore, the model will be totally menu driven with pop-up windows style and userfriendly interface. Descriptif (précisez si le sujet peut déboucher sur une thèse) The results will be in the map forms; therefore, several maps will be presented, such as; the hazard over the whole plant, interaction components’ vulnerability, the potential global risk, and the evacuation network based on the optimal layout generated. These maps will assist managers in enhancing the work condition situations, minimize work interruptions and suspensions, and minimize total evacuation time which in turn leads to diminish property and life losses, avoid project cost overrun and avoid delay in project completion time. Also, it will assist construction managers and contractors in identifying the highest risk occur over project duration and the location of this risk, in order to determine and allocate safety precautions in a more effective manner.
