A two year post-doctoral fellow position is available in the team “Lactic Acid Bacteria and
Mucosal Immunity” at the Pasteur Institute of Lille in the Center for Infection and Immunity
of Lille, Inserm U1019 - CNRS UMR 8204. The candidate will execute an ANR RPIB
program entitled “BIOpaneX: a comprehensive screening for Paneth cell-targeting
immunomodulatory drug applied to Crohn's disease. By combining a comprehensive in vitro
screening approach with preclinical experiments, the project will aim at identifying novel
anti-inflammatory commensals that negatively regulate enteropathogen growth and invasion
in mice. Citrobacter rodentium will be used as a model of enteropathogen mimicking EPECAIEC infection.
The candidate will have a PhD and a post-doctoral experience with a strong expertise in
immunology (particularly gut immunology) and good skills in microbiology and should have
a proven track-record including publications in peer-reviewed journals (IF>6). The project
will require a wide variety of techniques including immunology and cell biology (primary cell
purification, cell culture, flow cytometry), microbiology (bacterial culture), molecular biology
(RNA isolation, qPCR), protein analysis (western blot, ELISA) and animal experimentation
(an habilitation is required). We are seeking a highly motivated, enthousiastic and
autonomous fellow with a high degree of independence based on a previous post-doctoral
experience, open to new challenges.

Un contrat de postdoc de deux ans est ouvert au sein de l'équipe «Bactéries lactiques et
immunité des muqueuses» du Centre d’Immunité et d’Infection de Lille à l'Institut Pasteur de
Lille (Unité Inserm U1019-CNRS UMR 8204). Le candidat devra développer un programme
ANR RPIB intitulé «BIOpaneX: un criblage d'immuno-stimulateurs de la cellule de Paneth
appliqué à la Maladie de Crohn. Par la combinaison d’une approche globale de criblage in
vitro et d’expérimentations précliniques, le projet visera à identifier de nouvelles bactéries
commensales anti-inflammatoires capables de réguler négativement la croissance et l'invasion
de bactéries entéropathogènes chez la souris. Citrobacter rodentium sera utilisé comme
modèle pour mimer des infections par des entéropathogènes de type EPEC-AIEC.
Le candidat devra être titulaire d’un doctorat et avoir une expérience post-doctorale lui ayant
permis d’acquérir une très bonne expertise en immunologie (en particulier en immunité des
muqueuses) et de bonnes compétences en microbiologie. Son expérience doit avoir été par des
publications dans des revues scientifiques de bon niveau (IF> 6). Le projet nécessitera une
grande variété de techniques d'immunologie, de biologie cellulaire (purification de cellules
primaires, culture cellulaire, cytométrie en flux), de microbiologie (culture bactérienne), de
biologie moléculaire (purification d'ARN, qPCR), et d’analyse des protéines (western blot,
ELISA). Une expérience en expérimentation animale est indispensable (avec habilitation).
